About Us

Hy Brasil is an Irish production and I.P. development company based in North Dublin, established in 2020 by Gretha Viana & Robert Bennett. Hy Brasil provides production services for factual television, while also provided development services and original I.P. for  documentary and fictional animation. We work closely with a varied assortment of established international media clients, helping them create content for their streaming services while also providing content for foreign and domestic national television broadcasters. We work hard to maintain a consistent level of world-class production services and values for each project and cleint we take engage with.
Our goal as a company is to create and deliver original and creative award winning content that will engage with today’s audiences. With our focus on storytelling we believe that stories have the power to change hearts and minds and the world at large and endeaver to do so with every I.P. we develope and produce.

Meet The Team

Gretha Viana – Company Director
Gretha is an emerging director, producer and writer with 15 years experience in creating documentary television and features for the international market. Her academic credentials include a B.A. in journalism and a masters in film directing Instituto Brasileiro do Audiovisual & an M.A. dramatic writing from Central Saint Martins, London.  She has delivered award winning content for feature film and broadcasters including the BBC, NATGEO, Channel 4, History Channel, HBO, Discovery and ESPN.

Robert Bennett – Company Director
Robert began his career working on live action shorts and features films for Bord Scannán na hÉireann and has worked for a number of world leading animation and production companies within the UK and Ireland over the past 20 years. Along side the running of the company he is busy working as a director and artist.
His academic credentials include a B.A in film and television studies from Aberystwyth University and an M.A. in Filmaking from The London Film School where he is an Associate. He has also studied at NYU’s Tisch School of Arts and attended the London Fine Arts Studio, Central Saint Martins and studied  2D animation drawing studies and illustration at BCFE in Dublin.
